Notes about this item.

This shell was made by Pegasus. I don't know if they can still be had. The rims and knockoffs are also by Pegasus.

The whole thing rides on a Tamiya TA-02 chassis, heavily (quite literal that!) modified with aluminum parts. All the chrome trim is thin stickyback mylar,  applied on the outside. That includes the bumpers and grilles!! My dad spent several hours custom-cutting the chrome bits and stickin' 'em on. Lots more patience than I've got, I have to say.
(03/30/02 -- May the Fates smile on the creator of Alclad II Lacquer Chrome Paint!!!)

The car carries headlights, taillights/brakelights, an extremely rudimentary engine sound simulator, and an infrared-activated motion-sensitive car alarm. Yep, you read right, it's got a working alarm.
